Do Evo intercooler pipes fit an Airtrek?

As the title suggest, does anyone know if I can use Evo7/8 intercooler pipes to front mount an intercooler?

Thanks in advance.

Turns out they fit with minor mods. Pipe from I/C to TB needs to be cut and a silicone joiner used to ensure it fits.

Good to know, Havent seen this thread until I did an "Airtrek" search.

Are you just adding the FMIC or you changing all go slow parts on the Airtrek to EVO8 or better..........ie. will you be retuning?

Would love some pics to see you progress too, as Im planning to swap to EVO8 spec setup

Looking to add an intercooler. Evo kits will fit with an Evo 4-8 turbo (minor mod) but need a custom turbo-to-intercooler pipe to fit the original turbo.

I'm thinking the best idea is to buy a high mileage Airtrek and completely swapping the g/box and engine for a low mileage Evo 8 setup with re-flash.

Yeah, Im swapping over to EVO8 spec, but keeping the auto tranny.........

I wanted to see pics of the FMIC behind the stock ATR bumper.
How does it fit size-wise and does it get anough air flow to function properly?

GregM on airtreker.com has done this with some very good results. I have not done this yet - waiting for the quakes to settle and roads in CHCH to be rebuilt....

I have an HDI Evo kit. The pipes need to be cut and a silicone joiner added, think a 45 degree at the bottom to clear the gearbox. My intercooler is far bigger then a stock evo and needed alot of the bumper cut away.

We just finished tuning completely stock airtrek- no mods at all but ecu fine tuning. 6 sek 0 to 100 km/h and 15 sek for quarter mile on stock td04 turbo, 1.35 bar boost, 91 gasoline. After that we installed hks 264 cams - 5.6 sek 0-100 km/h and 14 sek for quarter.

There is a bolt-on kit made by Greddy for Airtrek but it is expensive. Evo pipes will fit with slight mods but only the throttle to cooler side since the layouts of td04 and td05 are opposite to each over with regard to turbine outlet location. td05 oulet is located downside whilst td04 outlet is located upside. Normally we buy universal piping on ebay and weld the setup we need - 2 inch turbo to intercooler and 2.5 inch intercooler to throttle. Intercooler size should not be too big ( less then evo's one) if you are planning to run the stock turbo ( to avoid increasing in turbo lag).

There is upgrated stock turbo (td04-19t instead of stock td04-15t) being sold on ebay which is capable of delivering up to 350 hp. We are aiming to run 5.1-5.2 ( 13.5 sek for quarter) with that turbo.

im actually picking up an Outlander and using the 2.4 block thats in it, to make a 4g64/63T hybrid or a 4g69/63T Hybrid depending on year I get. I know I will be running a downward facing turbo so thats why i ask. Any pics of your setup? thanks
