Switch GSR (non-aero) front undertray to MR undertray possible?

Russell

If I understand correctly, the Evo X MR undertray has some air guides that the Evo X GSR does not, correct? Also, does the Evo X MR have the zero lift kit like the Evo 8/9 MR's did?

So, can the Evo X MR undertray be swapped with the Evo X GSR undertray or just the sections with the air guides?

Thanks!

The only thing different between the GSR & MR is that the MR had the Brake Air Guides & the Zero Lift Kit. The under tray is not different at all. An under tray off any CT9A (03-06 VIII & IX) would work on another. On a side note, if the vehicle had an SE Lip there are two little reinforcements that are needed with that lip to correctly install the under tray. Hopefully this all makes sense.

Russell - Crap, I meant the Evo X - Not Evo VIII/IX.... I edited my 1st thread to make more sense!

Sorry for the confusion...

Pretty much the same thing, minus the bit about the SE Lip & Zero Lift Kit. The under trays are exact.

Interesting - I read a PDF about there being 2 optional parts on Evo X that improves handling - 1 was the rear wing extension (which you sell painted, correct?) and the other was air guides, not for brakes, but for undertray...

Send me your email ID and I can send you the PDF, Russell. It has the air guides pictured. I need to crawl under Evo and see if it has the air guides, but I figured I did not since I was a GSR

i was wondering the same thing.

http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/cor...ew/e/2008.html

under the "aerodynamics for lancer evolution x"

the airguides supposedly increase the negative pressure zone underneath the front of the car to help with anti lift
