I discovered this event on a Miata website that I visit as a former Miata owner & I know some turbocharged Miatas are coming.

I'm in!

I have a tire situation though, a set of Kuhmo MXs (1/2 tread one with a patch) and a set of worn out Hoosier R3204s. So I may purchase another wheel and 5 Toyo RA1 and use them for both Road Racing and Autocross.

Does VIR sell race fuel - 100 unleaded?

Meta, check w/the sponsor. The last time I was at VIR they sold gas, altho at a premium. As I recall, it was Sunoco & included 94 octane 100 & maybe 110.

yeah, they sell it all, but about 550 a gallon, which is very PREMIMUM. They do offer all the way up to 110 though, so go for it. Becareful though I am not sure the 110 is lead free, seems a guy there said it wasn't, but he may have been wrong.

When you are averaging under 5 mpg, $5.50 buys you about a lap & a half there in an EVO(at least in mine). Check with the track or sponsor, as I recall that was the cost of the 100 octane & the 94 was around $1.00 more than at the pump, but a lot less than $5.50.

Sleep Inn. Its the place recommended by the sponsor. $69.00 night. I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express last time & it was nice but a bit more $$$.
