Sorry, all I can think about when seeing that 4door version of those boring as hell Vitz races from Gran Turismo 3. ******* Toyota being a big sponsor of that game. That's the only reason I can think of for putting that car in the game, much less having it's own feature races. Enough to drive a man to drink, it was.
Still, I think that this is a better move than the Evo. As I said before I think that the Evo's have "evolved" from being dirt-preferred to being tarmac terrors. That, and the sport of Rally has changed to where the hatches seem to be where it's at.

after seeing all these pictures of the new colt, i totally forgot about the topic, mitsu taking a hiatus on the 2003 season. they might change their rally vehicle and use the colt, hopefully continue the evo like they do in the paris dakar where they play with the evo/pajero and the montero sport/L200 base. they do not want to see another disappointment with their drivers again, might as well let the season be over.

Actually the coupe is called the CZ3 As for it having all the evo goodies, it comes with all of them stock.(ACD, AYC, etc) It was tested in the Nov edition of Evo magazine. It has a 1.6l GDI turbo engine in the road version for Europe, it hit 60 in 6.5sec. This is the rally one from GT3 Geneva.....

it has GDI!? thats kind of annoying... Hopefully they'll put the 4g63t in it if they bring it to the states. Aren't GDI engines very difficult to turbocharge effectively, and require very high octane gas?

Breaking News: Mitsubishi Out Of WRC For 2003!
Sorry, I just really really wanted to do that! HobieKopek is going to go nuts. For the trouble here's some pictures to look at covering 3 years of rally. Note how on every picture the #1 was on the door.
OK, now someone delete this post.

Stil, they should have continued with the WRC, they may develop a new car but not totally abandon the WRC. A year seems too long, how will they market the evo if all it has is history?
