Navid, we run a front spring shorter than 8", I like a 7" effective stack-up. It was actually the point that I wouldn't recommend running a spring that long to clear the tire, we can't. Stiffer springs I know all about as we had specific suspension motion targets. Need some spare springs?

BTW, did I tell you I'm jealous of your weather? We're already seeing sub-50s, bench racing time.

Any ideas on my above post?
I think you need to stop holding back about rolling the rear fenders.

Don't make me come down to a Homestead event and roll them for you while you're chasing cones!

I ran 275 40 17 HOOSIERS for events on my ce28's which were 17 x 9 x 35 offset. Rolled the fenders and they polished the lower control arms a tad in the rear but NO SPACERS. Lots of camber with a Muellerized JIC coilover setup.

You cannot run 275's with the stock suspension because the stock springs are giant compared to the coilovers and you cannot tuck the wheels in enough.

Please note that the Hoosier 275's are larger than a lot of 285's!

John, this weather was unfortunately what did us in at the Nationals. That was the first time my car had run in the rain this year.

OK, went yesterday to see how my new Kumho 275/40-17's and 17x9 5Zigens would fit, and low and behold everything fit without any rolling of fenders!!
However I will need spacers in the front to clear the Tein-Flex coilover and
longer studs.
The guy suggested I get these expensive custom (hub-centric fitting or some kind of term he used, I forgot) spacers for $75 each, they're supposed to eliminate
any vibration.

Now I can't wait for the next auto-x!
