SCCA Runoffs T2 race

Hi All,
This race will air this weekend Dec. 3rd at 2:00 PM Eastern time on Speedtv. Trust me, you do not want to miss this. Perhaps a moderator could temporarily sticky this somewhere where everyone will see it?
Cheers,

So I'm assuming this class has Evos?

Any other upcoming Runoffs that will feature Evos?

Does anyone have a link that lists which cars run in each class? I'm looking all over SCCA's website and the net in general and getting conflicting results. Some of it is "Solo 2", which seems to run different cars.

Sorry I'm not up on all of their classifications.

Nice bump, powerslide, and recovery by Zigler there in the opening laps.

I watched it this morning and my god, I think I have a new favorite racing series. Do they always air these races??? BTW, I saw a TON of STI's and only 1 Evo....we need to get some more firepower into that series. Oh yea, great win by the STI's and an overall good showing, there were 3 in the top 6 I believe.

2 Evos finished in the top 10, fifth and tenth actually. Good racing, I'm looking forward to the Touring 1 class re-airing on Dec. 6 at 4am since I missed that race.

Was that a WORKS sponsored Evo? I've been DVRing these for the last few weeks waiting for a class w/evos. In the prerace coverage they only talked about STI's and I was like, damn, O'well. Then they lined up and there were two evo's. Nice The announcers seemed totally ignorant of the Evos and focused on the STI's. They even made a big deal about all the manufactures represented and listed them leaving out Mitsubishi. Even my g/f's car was in it (Ion Redline) and got to spin out an RX-8 before it hit some oil and went off track.

What struck me most, though, was the talk of factory sponsorship from Subaru for the winning team, maybe even going into Grand Am Cup racing. I would love to see Subaru prod Mitsubishi into duking it out in some american road racing. WRC is alright, but some serious track racing in our country would be awesome.

The 3 Subaru factory backed STi's did well. With the huge dollar, testing, and setup advantage they shared they should have. The other STi's in the race were less successful, I wonder why.

Come on now Leh, you know there is some truth behind that, the preparation that goes into any pheonix racing entry car is going to be on par with the best. Not sure about huge dollar testing either, I mean you setup your car to run well at Mid-Ohio and your done......
