SCCA Club People: Tires of choice?
Im planning on doing SCCA Club racing next year, so I am starting to think about the buildup for my car. What are you guys running for tires? I am pretty sure Kumho or Hoosier (moreso Hoosier) would be my best choice, are there any other makers I should be looking at?
Thanks
P.S. To be clear, I am talking about SCCA Club Road Racing, not SCCA Solo II Autocross.

I've run 265/35-18 Yokohama A048's at HPDE's and 285/30-18 Hoosier's for autocross. I'm going to say that the Kumho V710s are too soft for track events (I'm running them for autocross this year). I'd probably say to be fast you're going to have to run Hoosiers.

If I was running a longer race in high temps, I may experiment with the A048s (shaved, of course) compared to the Hoosiers.
