This has me very nervous now, just bought my MR in june and planned on doing a
open lapping day at beaver run at the end of july. This would be my first time in
the evo on the road course.

maybe i should swap the fluid

I am also looking into running a tranny cooler now. Upgrading my engine oil cooler and my power steering cooler.
This whole incident got me thinking about cooling much more then before.
Thunderhill is probably 80% 4th gear. Buttonwillow I am not sure, probably the same, and a little more 5th gear. I run Thunderhill much more than buttonwillow so it's less then half the distance away.

I'm going to talk over everything with Jon @ TRE once he gets back in town next week.
I'll let everyone know the outcome and what I chose to go with. I am leaning really hard towards a tranny cooler and I will for sure let everyone know all about it. Unless I have to sign an NDA or something.

Again, I will let everyone know after we get the tranny apart what the exact reason was.
