Little update.
Gearbox was pulled finally. Nice little bits of metal when the oil was drained. TC looked fine.
Gearbox is now boxed up and awaiting FedEx to wisk it away to TRE.
Kinda good timing on pulling the gearbox as my stock clutch is worn to and into the rivets. The surface is worn evenly but very thin. Was on borrowed time for sure. I have to say I got alot of use out of it. 32,000 miles, with over 8 track events.
I bought 2 key pieces of my tranny cooler:
Tilton 40-524 Trans/Diff cooler pump

btw, both summit racing and the Fluidyne site have it listed as black painted but it came raw silver. Not a big deal but I was kinda hoping for black for more stealth.
I might try and get it anodized. Depends on where I end up mounting it on the car. My first thought is too mount it in front of the radiator where it will get the best airflow but it is pretty dense so it might block air from that part of the radiator. Other idea is drivers side in front of the wheel like the stock oil cooler.

I got my fluid yesterday, and my pump today, i'm plannin on tryin to swap fluids tomorrow while i do my brakes for the track on sat.
are all 3 changes as easy as they look?

I wonder once TRE is done with your tranny if they would sell a kit for the fabbed tranny
cooler lines and temp gauge connection. Razor are you gonna try to get readings with the
cooler on and off? I know that cooling the tranny will help but I wonder if the thin 4th gear
will still be a problem? Can't wait to hear the low down from TRE.

Rear diff is cake, literally takes 10 mins
Tranny is pretty easy. Remember the tranny uses an allen wrench.
TC takes a little longer because of the DP getting in the way.

HOLY CRAP.
dude.
if you've ran your car at all like mine, you NEED to change your fluid like 6 months ago.
My tranny was a cloudy honey color, when it got all the way down, it had the tiniest particles, the color of your car (metal). But they kept coming and coming and coming.
Then on to the transfer case, dear lord, it's a little darker, but you can actually see the grey in the fluid coming out. (this one is kinda a ***** with the downpipe on)
Finally the rear diff. Damn near black at first, then went to the brownish honey color.
All 3 magnetic drain plugs were so caked with metal, that they had no magnetics left.
I'm amazed the car was still kicking. Thanks again for the heads up.
