EVO FTD by 2.7 seconds!
I was invited to the National Corvette Council Club Solo 2 event this past weekend. There were 31 cars in all and I ran a 54.111 second lap compared to the next fastest time of the day at 56.8xx seconds.
Thanks to David at Buschur for the awesome alignment, corner weighing and Apexi coilovers!
Here is an in car video of one of the runs...

Also a write up by our SCCA club's competition director...
"Congrats to member, Trevor Jones, for taking top FTD at the National Council of Corvette Clubs Solo 2 this past Sunday at the La X Speedway. Trev blistered the track in his EVO 8 with a 54.11--2.7 seconds faster than the quickest Corvette. There were 31 drivers, many of whom travel extensively throughout the U.S. chasing points for NCCC.
There were very few tin cars in attendance. As usual, the Corvette group is a great crowd and everyone had a lot of fun. Many of them were very impressed with Trevor's Mitsuibishi.
Way to go Trev.

I was running on 255/40-17 Toyo RA-1's and think that some 710's would have been quite a bit better. Anyone else out there tried Solo with RA-1's and then used 710's?

I autoxed on RA1s for a good year and then made the switch to 710s. It's a considerable improvement on turn-in and overall grip. Needless to say, they are better than RA1s.
Congrats on the win with the Corvette Club.
