I change mine every 10-15k depending on how many track days I go to. WORKS recommended Redline for (roadcourse) so that what I use for the tranny. It seems like changing after each event is somewhat overkill. I do change my motor oil before and after each track event though.
I had similar discussions with WORKS regarding tranny fluid. This is what Jaime said.
BG2 is good for drag racing because it smooths out the shifts. 10-13sec its over. Not good for road courses that can last up to 30min because it breaks down to easily.

I've done 6 events on my current tranny fluid (Pennzoil synchromesh) and I noticed the shifting got notchier on the drive home from my last event. The current fluid has about 5.6k miles on it. I think I'm gonna change my tranny fluid every 4 events from now on. I'll probably bleed my clutch every 4 events as well.

Crap I never bleeded my clutch before. It's been over 2.5years with 9 track days

yeah, i didn't make the comment to turn this into a pissing match, but my take on the busted trannies, from what i've heard is heat. and that the bg 2 doesn't take the heat as well as the stock fluid.
With that being said, i'm sticking with my 6 spd, and oem fluid on it. 10-15k is a long time, if you're runnin your car. i'd suggest every 1000-1500 miles of hard track time, as i get anywhere from 150-300 miles in a track day, depending on conditions, etc.
One thing i did about a month back, and I think it's the best thing ever, is went back, did a mental log on my car, and made a hard log on everything on the car, settings, pressures at events, when what was changed, etc.
That way theres no question of how many miles something has on it, etc.

Personally, I had bad luck with stock fluid. Got crunchy fast, smelled burnt so I stopped using it.

i use motul 75w-90 for my gearbox before this i used bgII it smooth out my gearbox but i noticed that after racing my car the gearbox became very notchy with motul is the other way around when cold is hard to shift but once it warms up it feels very smooth and when road racing it becomes smoother also the bgII is 75w-80 which is less weight then the what the owners manual states so i use motul for me it works great!

MOTYLGEAR 75W90 Synthetic Gearbox Oil
or the higher quality 100% Ester Based:
GEAR 300 75W90 100% Synthetic Gear Oil
?
That Motul GEAR 300 is $25/qt!
The other gear oil I have been looking at is NEO RHD which is 75w90 and is $19/qt
