Robispec & GSC wins
Well, we took overall Street tire championship at California speedway this weekend at the Redline time attack.... and Im not sayin this to be cheezy or cause they spopnsor me but GSC & Robispec won this one for me.
Picked up Greg at the airport on thursday, drove down to Robi and started working on the car..... Long story short, Saturday night at 11pm we take the evo out on the freeway and greg Tunes AEM in 3 pulls, then head down to fontana.... got to our hotel at 3a.m. .... wake up call at 7a.m. ..... time attack at noon same day.. raining...jeez. I had only gotten 8 hours of sleep between thursday and sunday, had a bad cold & was just completely off my rocker.... the car won it, not my driving
Sunday morning it was raining bad... so the 2 first sessions were useless as far as trying to get some good laps down.. lead & follow, lots of cars.. Then at first time attack session I hit a tire wall and dinged up the rear quarterpanel on the car... rushed back, we checked alignment.. it was ok.. rushed to get back to open test session.. got some clean laps, finally... & the rest is history.
Man, I gotta tell you guys, these new GSC S1 cams are PERFECT for track driving on smaller/medium sized turbos. The car is just a completely different animal now, super good mid range and still pulls up top. Unfortunately we couldnt put in the new GSC 40/60 center diff cause Mitsu sent us the wrong bearings etc.... but that will go in the car soon and I will report asap.
Robi was a trooper as always, gave the car a perfect alignemnt & installed the new whiteline front roll center kit (which helped!).

so props to Greg & Robi!!! couldnt have done it without you guys!!
I also want to thank Forge Motorsport for the Blow off valve & waste gate actuator... they worked flawlessly and the car sounds wicked mean now

Congratulation again, Nils!!! We have come to expect you to win. And you really qualify for Street class since the car, as I recall, is your daily driver. Keep up the great work!
