Cage completed on Targa Newfoundland Evo IX RS
As some of you have been following, I am in the middle of building a 2006 Evo IX RS for this year's Targa Newfoundland. Well, the cage is finally done in the car so I figured I'd post some pics of the build:
TC Design cage in my Evo IX RS
There's some other nice touches, including black anodized aluminum door panels. Check it out.

There are few races I would love to one day drive in and Targa is one of them. Best of luck and keep us up to date. If there is anything the community could do to help say the word!

Not with Shiv. Let's just say that I'm happy to see that guy keep making money off of the 19 year olds who don't know any better. I'll have to trust race car tuning to guys who actually understand racing and care about their customers. :-(
The car will be retuned this week using the factory ECU. We'll be doing track-based tuning under load at Sears Point as well. That should be ideal.

To make the car stand out, I plan to paint the lips a deep red. Should make the car pop on TV.

Don't jinx me! We thought that when we showed up in '04, and my driver ended up nose down in a ditch on the first stage! ;-)
I'm going to focus primarily on running a solid pace and finishing the event. That's harder than you might think. My goal is to be the first person to hold a Targa plate as both a navigator and as a driver. That said, our pace should be good for a top 10 if I can keep all four wheels on the tarmac.
If there are any people on the boards who live up in that region -- Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, etc. -- we'd love to hear about it. We could use some support up on the island but don't have the funding to bring a crew with us.

The rally is the first week in September. I'll have to put the car on the transporter a month prior in order for it to be trucked and then brought by boat to Newfoundland.
Only E30 M3's I know for sale right now are racecars! Check out http://www.bmwccaclubracing.com/
