SA2005 Helmet

I will be attending my first HPDE event and I will need a SA2005 helmet however of all the helmets I have tried on, Shoei fits the best. Only problem, Shoei doesnt make a SA2005 helmet. I am wondering if anybody knows of a simlar brand of helmet that fits like a Shoei. I was only able to test fit HJC, Arai and Shoei helmets as that was all the local cycle shops carry. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yo zwickyc. Long time no see. I have a huge head and the only helmets that tend to fit IMO in the 7 3/4 inch or bigger without being wobbley is Bell's from what i've tried. I got a pyrotect, which are made by Bell, 05 rated, and you get the bag for 230 bucks i believe. Soloracer.com and some others have them. Comfortable with lots of vents, and dosn't cut my ear off when i'm wearing a mic. What event you goin to?

They rock man. I was at the May 12th pca and was pretty much dominating the corners . I sorta tend to shy away from the July events because its so damn hot, i was at the one last year and about died even with all the water and fans. Also PCA just started making you have identical seatbelts for both instructor and driver, which sux0rs because i didn't want to spend 325 bucks on a belt i'd never use. NASA and Chin don't require that so i was thinking of waiting on them in August/Sept.

NASA and Chin "highly recommend" them though

Honestly, its up to the instructor with you. If he's comfortable with stocks, thats fine, if he wants what you want, well, you're screwed.
