Alex just called the shop. The car is back together and made it to tarmac practice today. Both Ramana and the car are running well.
It was a lot hard work to get it back into racing condition. But nothing that 4 professionals can't do in 16 straight hours.
He had mentioned the car getting a fresh coat of something, either paint or vinyl tomorrow.
Look for a DSG feature during Xgames Tonight!!! They are doing a special on the car getting back into shape!

Successful day of practice after a complete recovery!
Success! After a few busy days rebuilding the EVO, the team has reported the car is in a good state, and quite fast.
“The car is handling well and running strong” team engineer Alex Grabau concluded.
They spent the day dialing in the suspension at todays tarmac practice session at the Home Depot Center. Photos will be posted as they arrive.

Huge thanks to Ron (above) for keeping our web viewers updated while we're incommunicado. Today was a good day. We are pitted next to McRae and the rest of the VT Sportscar contingent. We met Mike Huml today and went to Road Race yesterday in a search for spare parts. Everyone has been super helpful and really nice to us.
The car is rebuilt as of 1am yesterday thanks to Derek and Mike of Cascade, (and us). We welded a new front end onto the car. We also have a new radiator, fenders, hood, bumper, oil cooler, intercooler, pipes and subframe. in the rear we pressed out the fender with a floor jack and a ram jack and actually have the car looking like an evo again. Bill uploaded some pics of the rebuild process at Rhys Millen's shop (who was very generous to lend us his shop!)
The Mitsubishi is running strong!!

There was a battle that wasnt aired betweened Ramana and Pastrana. Unfortunately for us, the car was still not in top shape. From what I understand they were having problems with the differentials after the first jump. And they would either be fully locked or completely open.
In the first heat against Colin, the car was over heating due to the fans not turning on. The car was in limp mode so it wouldnt rev, no revs=no power, no power=no jump.
Ramana and DSG got Forth overall!
