EVO II 215.93 MPH - Standing Mile
I had to come over here and talk about this...typically I hang out on the Corvette Forum in the ZR-1 Section as guinnessdood...
An EVO running 38-40 PSI boost came to the SORC event in Nebraska last weekend and cleaned house. He posted the highest speeds of the day in the standing mile. He ran a 212 MPH (I think) on his first run...and backed it up with a 215.93 MPH run. This is a new SORC record. What is really cool is that the next fastest car was a TT Viper (1200+ RWHP) at 215.2 MPH. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! news is posted at http://www.sorcrace.com/ Anyway...whoever it was...made those that were laughing at his parachute (didn't need it, there was a 2 mile shutdown area) look pretty foolish, their jaws were dropping...and when he made his first run eveyone was going WHAT THE ?????? Then...the TT Viper made his 2nd pass and ran the 215.2.....they all figured it was over. Then the EVO bested him with that blistering 215.93. This was done at 2850 ft elevation. The EVO puts the TT Viper on the friggin trailer! DAYUM!!!!
Hat's OFF to Mike Reichen! We're not worthy, we're not worthy!

He is the same guy that ran 202 at the Texas Mile. Apparently the motor had a little more in it! an additional 17-18 MPH? Holy CRAP!...that equates to a lot of HP. I can't even imagine driving that car at speeds above 160...215.93 must have been quite the rush!
There is a vid on YouTube of his run in Texas. None that I know of yet from the SORC race have been posted.
What do you think? 900+ to the wheels?

The 202mph run he said it took it easy on the car because he did not want to break anything.
Must have tested a few extra things and put all it had in it.
The YouTube vid is a good watch. It appears to be a 19sec mile but some of the vid is sped up.
Great news that one of my brethren is KING although I am sure besides the body panels that EVo II shares nothing in common with mine.
