Here is the brief blurb about the cars marked with `COBB': http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?id=3503

That WRX is owned by Jason Wong. Billy Brooks co-drives with him. I can't think of a single Cobb part on that WRX, but I do know exactly what suspension is on it and every detail of the setup.

I sucked at practice starts, but oh well. I'm not sure what Navid and the other STi/Evos are doing for tire pressures, but I was spinning all 4 off the line. Could be the new Exedy Twin HD that's grabbing so hard without much slip, or it could be the tire pressures. Not sure yet, but was only doing 1.72-1.75 60's with .56-.60 lights with a best of .520 and a few red lights (.496 closest). Saw some high 1.6s from Navid and Daddio with good lights, so I'd rather be there.
One big problem, though, is that I left all my magnets (sponsor stickers, class/numbers, SCCA stickers) on my garage freezers, so I'm a bit hosed.

Those are good lights!
I'd give up a tenth or so to be safe, with 6 runs per side you don't want any RLs, especially not in the 2nd or 3rd set of runs. Last Pro I did a .500 on my first practice start and won the $20 prize.
Did Navid bring that huge rig to tow the Suby?
Wish I was there.

Talked to Jason and Billy this afternoon walking the Pro courses. Both are good customers of mine.

Pretty good so far after the first session. Daddio is killing everyone and doing it easily. I'd rather be closer to him, of course, but if someone's going to kill me, I'd rather it be an Evo. Sias is under a second behind Daddio combined, and I'm just under a second behind Sias then well ahead of Navid and the rest, but that's because O'Boyle hit a cone on his good run on one side, and Navid's car was down on power due to some tuning issues that should be resolved by the next session. The Faucett E-36 busted a halfshaft on the first launch, but they're in the Sias bay replacing it now.
Should be a full group next session with most people gaining big chunks of time probably - hopefully not Daddio, though, because he's far enough ahead!. Here's the times as I can best remember:
Daddio - 31.3XL (.62) + 31.X8R (??) - 63.1X
Sias - 31.9X (.55) + 32.0XR (.53) - 64.0X
Cobb - 32.4L (.68RX) + 32.5R (.70RX) - 64.9X
After spinning my very first run (left) and red-lighting my second run (.494 right), I decided to take it easy at the light, so my next two runs were clean but slow off the light. The 60's probably weren't any good either. I know for sure the 2nd one was a bog - Daddio bogged, too, but ran a 30.9 with a cone. He's one of two cars to hit a 30.xx raw with the only other one being Strelnek in the SM2 RX7.
Not really close to competing for 1st, but 3rd place is a trophy spot, so I'd be elated if I could end up in 3rd by the end of tomorrow. Better than I expected so far, but I know Navid and Ron were unable to go all-out, so I expect them to come charging back hard.
Is that good enough for you, Playa?

That doesn't surprise me at all. I've run with Corey several times this year and he's just FLYING!!! I expect him to eat everyone up on the SoloII course as well. I'd place a bet on Corey taking it by 1.5 seconds.
