autocrossing with aftermarket lip or bumper -- durability?
I'm thinking about adding a CF lip or possibly an aftermarket front bumper to my Evo, but I hit cones with it regularly autocrossing and don't want something that can't take that abuse. I recall seeing a Chargespeed bumper damaged from a cone, but does anyone have any thoughts on how a CF lip would fair or other bumpers? What do I need to look for in the way of materials/construction?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yea I've got the APR splitter now on my car, and the nuts from one of the hangars came loose. it's really flimsy right now and doesn't have much support in general. I think you'd be better off with a lip because if it just touches something it feels like it will break.

Rich, I have had the APR Carbonfiber lip on my car for about 4-5 months now . I probably have run it at 5-6 events so far and have hit a lot of cones (including a few center punches) with it and haven't had any issues.

I have a FRPF (or what ever the newsest one is) C-West front bumper and auto-x with it. I think I only hit one cone head on and it didn't do anything to it and you can usually get the cone marks off......or just don't hit cones head on like you shouldn't be
