sort of. when his BMW breaks he usually dives into another car to complete the runs. Both Navid and myself have given Vic and his motley crew of co-drivers the keys so they can complete their runs in local events.
anyhow,
trying to get this thread back on topic...
Here is a power level to reach for in SM. the car is mostly prepped for XP (anything bolted down that could be removed, has been removed), but the engine is built within the SM rules.

I don't know if it's intentional, but the HP looks a little peaky for 400whp. When I saw the dyno graph I first thought it was a GT35 or similar size turbo . . .
Here is another SM competitor's dyno graph:

I said that just for clarification, since it is an XP prepped car.
that said, in some of the non-SCCA events that he runs the car in, he competes in SM and not XP.
edit: it's also worth mentioning that technically for the car to run in XP he needs to install a restrictor as per the prepared rules 17.10.c.2

Here is the course from 2007 Nationals:
Does anyone who was there care to share their thoughts on it. Which side did you like better? Which side did your car seem to like better? What sections do you know you could have done better??

First off, this was all in an A-stock Solstice, not a SM Evo.
Day 1 on The Blob went well. I was 0.2 seconds out of trophies at the end of the day in spite of the fact that I chickened out in the really fast sweeper on all three runs. As long as you took a tight line it was pretty fast. Day 2:
Things didn't go well.

I don't really understand what you're saying. There are no rules for engines in SM other than it has to be a Mitsubishi block.

He also was complaining quite a bit during the Pro Finale about how AWD cars should be in their own class, so it wouldn't be a surprise at all if he switched over so that he no longer had a deficit at Pro events.

All that on the stock intake ;-)
As Buschur would say - it's all about having the right combination of parts! (although he has said that I have all the WRONG parts on my car)

- ETS FMIC waiting in the garage
- Spare t-case is on the way to Shep for a rebuild that will then be swapped onto my car in place of my dying t-case
- Upper and Lower IC pipes + fresh Hawk pads + Mini Battery Kit on the way from VIP
- 880cc injectors purchased and on the way
- Removing alky kit and getting tuned on E-85 once all of the above is installed
I also want to do a 20g-LT, but I'm waiting on Buschur to get back in touch with me. I'm not as worried about that, but I want all of the listed items done in time for the two CA events, both of which I'm registered for...
