I have searched for hillclimbs in California and found nothing. Anyone know if there is an underground hillclimb circuit?
Where in the northwest are they? Website links?
I would like to get my Lancer into some rallies other than monte carlo style and hillclimbs as well. Its not setup for it yet but I would be more motivated to if there were some good events around here.

Links?
I run in the Colorado hillclimb series (www.chcaracing.com), and all our events are on dirt, so rally tires are the way to go for us.

Nope, but there are classes for "cars" with aluminum roll cages held together with hose clamps!
Any vids of these events? I've got some of mine posted on youtube...link in my signature.

rolecage required only on open cockpits and i think arm restraints required also.i have some vid from Targhee last year i'll try to get posted later. helmet, seatbelt, fire extinguisher is the only thing i needed to race.ran the stock advans last year, they did better on some courses than others but over all not a bad tire.

Do you get any time to scout the course or is it something where you just go up there the day before and do it yourself?

Here is the hillclimb series i run in Pa. http://www.pahillclimb.org/, The evo is perfect for hillclimbing.
I used the nitto Nt01 for last years season and was very happy with their performance. Now most of the hillclimbs around here are about 1 mile with the longest being 2.3 miles so i wouldn't say they hit operating temps till the top but they still worked fine. Now this year i plan on running some Hoosier A6's.
Good luck and have fun on the hills! Oh and keep it on the road
