Need Water Temp Sensor Adaptor Info

Hi All,

I am adding a water temp sensor just to be sure I don't overwork the AMS mini-radiator I have. I am looking for one of those adaptors you splice in one of your radiator hoses but I can't find exactly what I am looking for.

I gather that the EVO uses a 34mm ID hose. What I need is a BLACK adaptor with 1/8"NPT thread. Greddy I've heard uses BPT thread (don't know if that's true or not). HKS comes in black but I can't find a spec on the thread pitch.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Found a Blox unit in black, but no place I've seen lists the thread pitch for that one either. . .

You can always purchase that one. Plug the other hole if it isn't what you need and drill and tap 1/8 NPT on the other side. Taps aren't very expensive through mcmaster, msc or grainger. Of course if you work at a manufacturing company and they have a tool room one of the machinists may let you borrow a tap too.

I guess I didn't think about that. I have lots of taps in metric and NPT.

Sometimes the obvious answer is the last one I think of!

42 Draft also makes a direct replacement upper hose housing that has a 1/8 npt directly on top. I use it on my track car and very reliable and easy as hell to get to.

Thanks! I knew Garage HRS maked one, but I hadn't seen anyone importing/selling it. I will look for the 42 DD one. I'm sure places stock those. That will work perfect.

If you're going to get an adapter, get the 36mm one. That's the radiator hose inner diameter I measured (w/ calipers) off my car.

I now have the 42 Draft Design adapter, which IMO, gives a much cleaner installation.
