it was a good race esp. with the weather and all, alonso was the first to go to slicks he had some huebos since some of the track was still damp and they tried the same thing on his teammate piquet but he just couldn't handle it... then all the other teams decided to switch outta wets after alonso's fast run...alonso is good hope he goes to ferrarri in 2010...

Actually it brings up an important point. There is no F1 race in the US this year! Think about this, the US is probably the largest market for most of the automakers competing in F1, yet the FIA doesn't see it fit to have a race in the US. All the manufacturers/teams keep saying how much the love the US and how it is their largest market and would love to run another race here. Feels like it is all lip service at this point. Nice ...

the US may be the largest market, but its nowhere near the biggest fan base for F1. it takes millions and millions to have an F1 race, and if you can't get enough people to go to the race theres no point in having it. plus the FIA just likes to flex their muscles and will bring it back in a year or two.
from my understanding they were going to try and get enough races world wide to have a rotating cycle of events. one year they do 16 events, the next they do 16 different events, and then repeat

Thanks Lewie! Really needed that after Monaco.
Its nice to see BMW get their first. Grear drives from all the guys of front. DC getting on the podium, he should retire tomorrow. Rubens holds up the field and still scores, and great driving from Felipe at the end.
Can't wait for France!
