RWD Evo conversion Q's?
I know there are a couple drift EVOs out there with RWD conversions (Formula D), and of course the ones that RMR did for 3F3F. What exactly does this consist of? I imagine there is a spool for the center diff (probably replaces the VCU/ACD mechanism in the TC), but what else is there? How do you plug the front axle outputs?
Can you just buy the parts or is it much more detailed??

Is this something one would have to contact RMR directly for more info, or is there info floating around the web about exactly how they do this? For example the axle plugs. . . I can't imagine they just have axle blanks held in with the stock circlips?? Thanks!

you don't need more steering angle to do drifting? Because i think that is why some drifters in japan /if i remember right/ they turned the engine 90 degrees to give the wheels more space to turn. We all know how horrible is the evo turning for drifting...
i even saw the pictures from those engine bays, in here the Evom too.

i personally think the axle plugs should be attached further than a circlip. maybe bolt them thru/together?
our evo8 would be super fun rwd

Well, that would be the "normal" thing to do. But I already know the EVO inside and out from my thousands and thousands of hours of research (reading on EVOM!) and working on them. I don't really want to start over on a new platform and have to start from scratch as far as the learning curve goes. . .
Think I'll stick with the EVO VIII-IX platform for at least another few years . . . until I save some coin and make the move the the GT-R. . .
