Ariel Atom at Laguna Seca
We ran my son's Atom at Laguna Seca last week. Several 1:39s with traffic and best of 1:38.3 on narrow street tires. Here's a link to video: http://www.vimeo.com/899517

Sluggo, The newest Atoms will have Honda engines in the future. This one came from England, where they are all Hondas. Its street legal in California - actually no changes, not even tires from street to track use.

I drove a friend's ariel around the pits @summit point last friday. He managed to get the 300hp K20 civic type R supercharged version. Bramos (sp?) is out of it now. My friend said that a canadian group will be building ariels here in the states out of VIR. They all will have the honda engines.
Oh, and the sound of that air intake right by your ear is just incedible!!!
Nice Laguna laps!!! Wish I could have driven the thing in anger.

Laguna Seca video
Thanks for commenting Kyle! Yeah, raced shifter karts for a while several years ago. The Atom is set up pretty much with all stock recommended settings from the factory in England. Narrow and relatively hard tires are a limiting factor right now - but then again it is never beaten on any of the local tracks by any car that does not have slicks.
