EVO Power in Speed World Challenge GT Class @ Miller RIGHT NOW!

Cool, an Evo in a more recognizable racing series. Now more people will be aware of the prowess of the Evo.
Why no wide body? Was it not allowed for the Evo specifically? It still keeps the stock silhouette.

^ why go with a widebody when you're trying to keep budget costs down? As demonstrated, you can still stuff a lot of rubber under the stock shell. In the end we all know that the Evo can make the power. Ultimately how it finishes will probably be determined as much by politics as the capabilities of the car itself, because we all know that as soon as they start finishing in the top 3 the whining of the competitors will begin (bla ... bla ... AWD unfair ... turbocharged car unfair ... 4 door sedan unfair ... bla ... bla).

With the stock body you can just keep on getting body panels from the junkyard for cheap or from people that replace their bumpers/fenders when they go aftermarket. Later on I guess when they have more money and have raced with the stock body longer.

I think we could benefit from having wider tires. We are running the narrowist tires in the GT field. I'm not sure what Vesko's plans are long term for bodywork, but for now the rear quarters remain stock. I think they'll be hard pressed to penelize us in the event we are running in the front when we are already so conservative. We shall see though!
We will be back out, keep tivoing the SWC races. Once our elec issue is sorted we will see where we end up. I think the potential is there for a strong finish, we just have to finish! lol.

While I wish the team the best of luck, that's a very optimistic goal. But yes, SCCA Pro will surely alter the car requirements just as they have in the past.

I've got my Tivo v.97 downloading it, it's technology is based on VHS and my wife pressing record. Can't wait to watch. They probably never show the Evo...
