9 RS they are rare I'd ****** it up before someone else does, also the new subaru does not have a big aftermarket like the older Evo's.

Wait 25k for a used 25,000 mile RS?

Is that what they are trading for now? I knew prices on the RS had gone up but 25k?

25 g for around 21000 miles. That's the starting price. What would be a fair price, I have no clue. Anyways gotta make sure is stock first or close enough to convert back.

25k for an RS seems expensive. i have been looking into '06 GSR SE cars with similar mileage locally for the same price.

I don't drive aggressively on the street, I don't plan on going to the track. Only a poop load of Autocross, and usually if I activate the ABS on my M3 while autocrossing the run is toast anyways (braking too hard cause too late)

Evo and besides that the STI's are hatchbacks! And it doesn't get any uglier than a hatchback!

True but there were only 400 of them made for the USA. Some peeps value the RS for what it is and it may draw a premium much like the ITR has. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just an observation.

Agreed! The Honda S2000 CR seems to be the best bet for a AS car. Take it for the guys that ran AS in the EVO, its not as fast as a prepped AS STi. A lot of them made the jump to STU because of this ... as I said locally you may see EVO drivers beat STi drivers but once prepped the STi has the advantage. It has a few things going for it the EVO doesn't:

1. Better weight distribution F:R
2. Ability to send more torque to the rear using DCCD
3. Better low end torque due to 2.5L engine
4. Better travel with the rear suspension

As far as the RS having a premium, that shouldn't be the case as it isn't that much lighter than the base GSR or SE model, its a 55lb difference in a 3200+lb car. When you look at what you give up eg: ABS, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, etc, its not worth it (at least to me) ...

Anyone as good as J Roberts in the STi camp ever campaigned an AS Evo?

Almost. Maybe. We'll see after nationals this year. My opinion is the Evo has no shot at winning AS.

Isn't he on his fourth motor now?

Another point against the STi. They blow up when you autocross them.
