Dunlop Star specs.... By far the best. I have used them all year and are amazing. I have a few videos running them if you wanna see. Wont tell you a ton... but i push my car fairly hard and they rock!!

I'm wondering how this new Kumho XS with 180 treadwear will compare to the Kumho MX with 220 treadwear and other performance tires. Seems like it will be a stickier tire with 20-25% lower treadlife which could be good or bad.
Dunlop Z1 Star Spec still seem to be the price and performance winner in my book though.

Ypsi and DTE Season ender (and the drag racing videos) are on the 615s. Everything else is on the Z1s or the Z1 Star Specs (I have had both).

have always been a fan of bridgestones, I have a set of 245/40 re01r's on my car and use it for dd and track use. i will agree with what eveyrone else has said about them getting greasy when hot, but overall i have loved them. autoX in the pouring rain and sun, very predictable.

Autocross should be dunlop then re01s... that's in order of lowest to highest price and best to worst performance.
I'd say that neither the dunlops or bridgestones are great for long track sessions *but I'm only going on what I've read and can regurgitate*.
*I also have star specs getting installed this week.

I agree
toyo anything has soft sidewalls.
As for the dunlops handling heat on track, the only tire that holds a flame to them are the advans, for twice the price. Ive had them at 240 degrees and still they grip great. only when theyre down to almost gone does heat really affect them.

Falken Azenis RT615's *are* absolute crap for time trial / road race / track day usage, in my experience. A passable street tire that might last through a short AutoX track at low speeds. Once they heat moderately though, they are mush.
