Rick,

Didn't you dominate STU last year at this Pro? Congrats on the win, I'm always happy when an 8 does well.

Thanks Guys!

Makes it sound better that I beat my friend, the current STU ProSolo champ.

Geoff, I expect you to block Max this year from winning the Packwood Pro!

Jarrod, I'll send you the new wing strut design.

John, I don't know how you're so competitive with the Berry IX? I'd still be far behind them on r tires.

'playa, You have to do Nats, now that it's in your home town.

We've only been on them for a few events but we're finding somewhere in the lower 40's works pretty well.

Since I've seen quite a few people picking up Ohlins recently, has anyone had any trouble with their brake lines? I noticed that if the camber plates are set mostly negative, the bracket and line are right against the frame of the car. I had to resort to zipties temporarily since I can't seem to get the bracket bent enough to get a comfortable amount space with the plates at full negative (I'm trying to run as much negative camber up top as I can for the roll center benefit).

Anyone have any good solutions for this?

Unfortunately most coilovers for this car have horrible brake line routing. The only set I haven't had issues with was Tein Super racing. On those the brake lines are attached to the side of the lower bracket instead of back.

Mitsu actually changed the routing on the X and don't put it behind the damper anymore.

I haven't seen any real good solutions. Personally I bent my bracket towards the damper and zip tied some rubber tubing around the outside of the brake line to prevent rubbing of the actual line. it still rubs the chassis though. FYI, I'm on ohlins flags now, but I think the lower bracket is the same as the DFV's if thats's what you have.

i bent the bracket back as far as i could and then ground off the parts of the bracket that still rubbed. no more issues.

I picked up a IX RS to replace my IX MR last Friday!

I'm hoping to have the prep close to where the MR was by nationals.

I still have the Full Race Header, ZZYZX Competitions, and motor mounts; but will probably start out slow with the mods and lower the springs rates to make the car more enjoyable on the street. And then maybe get more aggressive with the setup a month or so before Nationals.

One things for sure, if an Evo doesn't win STU at Nationals this year we all agree to disband and join other classes.
