Ive been watching the SCCA Runoffs. Seen a few of the races, T3, T1, C/D Sports racing, F production, SM, Formula 500, and bits and pieces of a few others. Although, i totally missed the T2 race.
Anyone know when its supposed to air again?

"Finishing fourth in the No. 34 AMSPerformance/VIP/TRE Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Marty Grand, of Manassas Park, Va., also earned the Sunoco Hard Charger Award for advancing seven positions in the race."
some in car footage as well, looking for some better quality vids though

One vid caught the crash at the end. now i see it was the drivers fault.

Yea it was a nice surprise for me to see that flipping through the channels late as well. And yes the GXP was actually designed with that track in mind. On the higher speed tracks like Pocono or Road America (next years championship race) the advantage will switch to the Evo as the GXP loses steam after 120 mph. At HPT, 120 is their top speed so it wasnt an issue for them. The evo is faster in the straights but it looked even more so in the broadcast with the Zs battling each other and having to protect the inside line coming on to the front straight. Oh, and Bill Z got DQ'd (unfairly) for contact with Don at the end of the race thats why I ended up in 4th. If anyone wants to order all 24 runoffs races you can get them here

Sweet...because I don't even have cable!
Nice aggressive but clean driving too - guy really handles that Evo well on such a crowded track! Very impressed.![Thumbs Up](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/smilie_thumbsup.gif)
Any good links to sites that follow this series?

lol Thanks, that is the part I like about racing the most, fighting it out with the other cars/drivers-each car having its pluses and minuses and at the same time knowing which driver is in each car and knowing their skill level and tendencies. It is much more of a thinking sport than you would think from watching it on TV. I liken it to a chess match at high speeds, you are often planning a pass a lap or two ahead of time. Time attacks are pretty much what we do in quals, its ok but just doesnt give me the same thrill of running a guy down, or trying to keep someone from passing you.
As for where to catch this stuff, sccaforums.com under touring 1-3 is where most of the racers post. This time of year is nothing but politicing for mods or against restrictions for next season. Unfortunately, to a degree this is when championships are won or lost. Im fighting for sway bars and against another restrictor-last year they "awarded" us with a 30hp inlet restrictor and knowing road america will be the track of next years runoffs, their is much talk of slowing the evo down even more.
and CJ and I try to keep up a blog here: http://amsracingblog.com/?cat=9
The Evo is a great car out of the box, but will never match the handling or braking of a GXP or 350Z in T2 trim, so without a hp advantage, we are toast.
oh and that was my own in-car video, scca will wire you up but itll cost you 1k to do it.
