LOL - I meant the actuator.

John - I a Perrin intake system in my car last night. At first it didn't fit that great but, after playing with it some bit I got it to fit pretty well. I haven't driven on it yet but, previous ones I've installed for guys it worked real well and the biggest thin was that the maf didn't need to be scaled all that much.

btw, it's a little tough to understand but regardless of what you hear i'm pretty sure i say "gosh darn i just missed that apex" near the end of the video.

Seems like you were setup well for the slalom afterwards though. Cool to see the footwork.
Is that El Toro? I didnt realize the course was a mixture of asphalt and concrete. Are you guys going to be at Wendover?
Cool vid!

I suppose it could have been worse but really there's no excuse for missing an apex by like 5 feet.

yeah, it's el toro and yes we'll be going to the wendover pro. Are you going to head down for the El toro pro?

For my first event of the season? Honestly, I would really like to. Our first local event of the season is that weekend. What the hell, its just shifting to 2nd and turning right and left right. lol
Hopefully I can catch up with you guys at Wendover, I had every intention of introducing myself at Wendover/Packwood last year but it never seems like the timing worked out.

Awesome video Marshall. Something about the sound of an evo popping limiter gets me excited. We just got another 1'+ of fresh snow out here, my evo hasn't left the garage in months now. So damn jealous.

My guess is not north of 8000 rpm. I know thats my limit. Mine is typically in the 7600-7800 range, I'll bump to 8k for big events.

Oh come on, what better way to start your season then the El Toro pro! It's by far my favorite event of the year. Awesome venue, awesome courses.

Now I just have to talk Frank and Aaron Miller into showing up.

Ummm, we don't have courses like that on the East Coast! OMG! Plus the video was awesome, love the foot work. For the record, I can't do that, I have a hard enough time with 1 foot working gas and brake, don't think I could manage 2 mentally... Funny, now that I think of it, my Pops drives like that all the time, left foot brake, right on gas.

First event on r-comps in BSP for me this weekend. I still need to figure out the inflation needs. I started out too low psi and it wasn't until the 5th and 6th runs that there was enough pressure from heat that I felt better (and I messed up the 5th run because my foot slipped off the brake on a downhill run into a turn !). Also, when they run out of grip, it's an on/off switch. You have grip. You don't have grip. Street tires will scrub before they reach that point.

There was no BSP competition to speak of though One 350z on street tires. I was almost 5 seconds faster (75 to 80 seconds).

I did finally beat the Miatas and ST/STU Civic. Then again, r-comps fix a lot of ill things

I'm still trying to get the right place to mount the camera (this isn't it).

long story short, I need a new bumper If I move to a "body kit" type bumper (i.e. voltex) will I get bumped into SM? The other (cheaper) option I was looking at was doing a sort of home brew front air dam using aluminum or something - will this get me bumped?

Before

After photoshop 'Aluminum' air dam
