Would ARP headstuds be legal? Also, what front swaybar sizes are people running? I'm thinking of getting a 26mm or 27mm bar at this point.

On to the ACD subject. Is ACD reprogramming a legal LSD modification for BSP? I know on the evo at least it isn't part of a "traction control" system as we have no such nannies in our cars. Is it allowed per the rules? Gotta look into that.
Some of us have traction control... but I turn it off

Bump this up from page 3.

Got beat by Fair in the X MR yesterday. I was on corded hand-me-down A6's (that I corded 2 of) and he was on tired Yokos and an STU tune (so down 20hp).

Good to have the competition, even if it means getting beat

Edit: I did manage to not get beat this time by Amy in the same X MR. I think she was having an off day

My base was 292 whp which is why I went with a retune and the E-85.

Why are people getting more HP out of E85 than race gas? Isn't E85 about 104 Octane? How does it give more power than, say, Sunoco GT+ (also 104 octane).

Just curious, because I'm tuned for race gas, and am now thinking about ethanol, assuming I can find a station that sells it in the Boston area.

E85 burns cooler and oxygenates better than petrol. You need bigger injectors with corn than petrol though to make the same power.

Okay, thanks. I know you also need to worry about the fact that ethanol conducts electricity, and eats certain materials, like some kinds of rubber.

Can anyone please point me to a thread that talks about the mods necessary to run 85% ethanol on a permanent basis (i.e. daily driving + racing). Thanks.

step 1. verify you can find it locally
step 2. get bigger injectors
step 3. get even bigger injectors
step 4. get bigger/more fuel pump
step 5. tune
step 6. smile

step 7. buy a new motor because the "E85" you bought from Kroger was really E50 and your engine detonated.

Technically that would be illegal. It can not be any lower than 70%.

Here is the solution to that problem . . .

Mike,

I thought you fell off. Going to Devens Sunday?

BTW, Congrats on Theresa making it into the VW Jetta cup!

I looked for some E85 in this area and found nothing. Only a couple stations in Long Island. You may have better luck in MA, but somehow I think it'll be few and far between.

ACT HDSS (organic full face) w/prolite flywheel. Leave the delay valve in place.

By delay valve do you mean the restrictor pill in the clutch line? Apologies for the "noobness". I was thinking of getting a SS clutch line to replace the stock line for better feel.
