almost time to set up another fantasy league i should try to get all the other car forums together so it can be a competition between forums and not just a few people here. i know nasioc and rennlist both have fantasy teams and those are the only two i really read.

MADRID -- An American team will be racing in Formula One next year, and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick is a candidate to fill one of the seats.
USF1, which will be unveiled Feb. 24, will have a staff of at least 100, a working budget of $64 million and an aim to put two American drivers on the starting grid. The team is looking at several candidates, including the 26-year-old Patrick.

"She's great. She gets a lot of press," USF1 technical director Ken Anderson told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "[Indianapolis Motor Speedway president] Tony George would probably be pretty mad with me if I took her out of the IRL but we'll see.
"I don't know if it's something she wants to do. We'd certainly love to test her and go from there."

NASCAR driver Scott Speed, who raced 28 times for F1 team Toro Rosso from 2006-07, is also a candidate.
Conor Daly -- son of former F1 driver Derek Daly -- and Josef Newgarden are also being mentioned, with both drivers presently competing in European junior categories.

Stop right there. Say no to Danica. We don't ehem.... cough..... F1 does not need that type of attitude and sass in the sport. If a team is going to use American drivers, at least use the ones that are capable of a win/good fight. As long as there is a Felipe Massa or Fernado Alonso or Lewis Hamilton around, there isn't room on the front row of the grid for anyone else. I'm not hating on Danica......... Well actually I am hating on Danica. She sucks on the pro level but atleast she's attractive!!!!

Im not really sure that there are 2 American drivers that would be better in F1 then Danica. That being said.... i could not agree with you more.

Just say no to Danica

I don't think Danica is F1 material either.

US drivers that should get a test...

1) Scott Speed
2) Marco Andretti
3) Jeff Gordon (getting too old)
4) Graham Rahal
5) AJ Allmendinger
6) Conner Daily
7) Tony Stewart (getting too old and would have to loose 40lbs)

Those are just a few names I would consider off the top of my head... I realize this list is subject to serious debate, but some of those guys are serious wheelmen whether you want to agree with me or not.
The only way I see Danica getting a shot is the fact that she would bring great marketing to any F1 team, I just think her driving warrants it.

I think Kyle Bush and Rahal would be a good lineup.

Andretti runs into things too often, and Danica still has much to learn about race craft. I can't stand Daly's dad and Allmendinger leaves everything the first chance he gets. Gordon leaving nascar....yeah right. Scott Speed has a job as long as he's with Red Bull.

Im sure there are others I've missed. But I know this, open wheel racing needs some american drivers.

I'm more interested in this "USF1" team. Anymore details about them? With the big 3 in trouble, I wonder who will support this team.

Also I wouldn't be sad to see most of the street circuits go away. Makes for the most boring races ever.

The "Big 3" has nothing to do with USF1. I believe it's Peter Windsor and another man who's name escapes me at the moment that are forming the team.
