Looks like the Mitsubishi's were doing great until the Focus WRC's took over in 2005.

That's because the Focus is and (remains) the cheapest reliable modern WRC car that you can buy and run competitively. It will get worse as the S12 WRC is starting to show its age and the S14 never lived up to the hype....
