IX RS nearly 1yr post rebuild set up

Pulled the 2.4 and set aside. Started with a new block and went with 2.2 liter for a 10,000rpm motor. Sourced the best parts market had to offer all the way to the finished set up. Billet knife edge crank along with all the other bits was fun. Added dry sump. Track car I put up with on the street best describes my car. Frosty Tuned and Bracen built in Oklahoma.

AP racing brakes
Robispec Race KW’s
17x10+38 on 295/30
Added vacuum pump for off boost braking support
FP Red regular
2200 injectors on E85
Twin fuel pumps on surge tank & hob switch

Twin fuel pumps pulling from surge tank.

Stage V head and ported everything. Billet vacuum pump bottom right. Additional volume reservoir canister for brake booster on strut brace.

Blue LEDs.

Dry sump. New trunk floor repaint. Battery box on right.

Custom emblem.

Blip EVO RS (company track car). New graphics trying to find the right balance of a clean look.

Repainted side skirts

Dipped rims.

Dipped and painted interior parts.
Shep stage 2 everything (every year seems like)
carbon 2pc axle

Learned: I spend way to much to shave tenths
Want: aero
Know: Love the EVO for everything it is.

Nice work! What brand knife edge crank did you end up going with for your 2.2?

I've been pondering the surge tank but I'd have to go all FIA cert'd so may as well do a cell at that point.

I'll be going the bolt in cell route either STM (formerly Fathouse Fab) or FCS.

Austin, the stock-location Fuel Cel, what is the volume it holds?
It is 1" shorter, height wise, than OEM, wonder if two of those cels can equate to 1 oem tank volume?
Website does not contain volume info, which is ---really strange since its basic requirement.

Found on STM Webpage: sorry to ask redundant questions, did not realize it was the same product.
Answer is 6 gallons.

I personally really dislike the typical race-fuelcel that is located in some race and rally evos, either in liu of spare wheel well, or between the rear strut-towers.

OEM low-down location is perfect centralized location to minimize impact of fuel-level change on handling, and also keeping weight low and centered.

Agreed. I think stock location is the ideal spot to put a cell. Sheds weight and not having to seal with a scavenge line to pull from the other half of the stock tank makes things considerably easier as well.

It would be nice to see it on the passenger side though.

Wouldn't work with factory fill neck or fuel lines if that were the case. Keeping factory fill neck and level sensor are big pluses to me.

There is a full FIA homologated stock location fuel cell/bag tank for e9 from ATL... full width and probably close to stock capacity.... crazy price though..

It does if ur RHD

We cut my fill neck off anyway and moved it to inside the boot and then shaved the rear guard of the fill door when i widebodied the rear.
