I had a riser made for my GTC wing. I raised it by 9" though... I don't see any value in 2.5". PM if you have any questions.

9"?? Is it above your roof line? Which GTC? I think the 200 needs to be a little higher.

Yeah, it is right at the roofline. Yes, it's the GTC-200.

See pictures here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7172349-post17.html

Also see the newest video here: http://www.flatlinemotorsports.net/Video_Vault.html --The camera is mounted rearward at ~ 3:25.

I CADed it up and sent it off to be made. When I asked APR they said that they had one in the works, but not that big.

It helped tremendously by giving my rear view back. Now that I've turned down the power I actually have to use that mirror again. lol.

2.5" isn't enough for me...

9" FTW

I own the same rectangular aluminum wing supports from APR but if you are going to do something trick make molds with foam and build wing supports the way they are suppose to be made. Look at the new factory Dodge Viper ACR wing supports. They are air foils. The front of the support should be blunt and the rear feathers to a point. Vertical winged supports. That's the correct way to make them. Somebody needs to take the time to sculpture foam. Then figure out the best way to attach fasteners to the finished molded piece. No drag, light weight aerodynamic supports, that's what we should be creating! Not these boxy aluminum erector set supports.

Man, you are in luck. We just made a few sets of 12" tall, GTC 200 light wt. struts.

They replace the stock 6" risers, but need a different trunk mount.

lol, don't hate. You have to remember these things have to support 250 lb of downforce and 30lb of shear. Mine are made of 6061 aluminum. They are super strong and durable as well as machinable. The only thing better would be to use carbon molds. I, however, can't form carbon. This was a great $100 way to do it. They by no means are a show piece. They are entirely functional. APR's are merely for looks since they don't get the wing up into the clean air anyways.

So the stock GTC 200 foil height is completely useless then?

It's not that the stock GTC 200 height is useless, but if you want to optimize the wing's downforce, you need raise the wing up into cleaner airfow.

Even on a fastback sportscar, RaceCar Engineering wind tunnel tested that the wing height needed to be 1.5x of the wing's chord width. On an Evo with its bad sedan rear window - trunk angle, the wing needs to be significantly higher.

Look at how high AMS's wing is, along with other successful competition Evos.
