That was a cool vid, and hindsight is 20/20, but I think that you definitely made the right decision to go straight off.

Good job on missing the big pile of rocks! The zip ties held the air ducts?? Those must be some good zip ties...

I think the replacement fog lights are waiting for you. Hopefully in a couple of weeks, I can make it back out there. Sorry I missed you guys last weekend.

zip ties are essential in racing so as a duct tape
And they are reliable too ...

Duct tape would have helped me out a lot for the split IC pipe coupler this weekend, I need to add that to my list ot track essentials.

Looking at that video again, it looks like you got in the gas a little too early and lost the grip on your front tires, another corner or two and Andrew was going down!!!

i don't think it was your speed as much as your line.

from the video it looks like you missed the apex on the left hander 1 turn before you went off.
then, after missing that apex, you didn't track all the way out for the next left hander. That put you in a bad position for the last turn and the result was a trip to the grass.

glad nothing was hurt and the car is still driveable. Thanks for posting the video, looks like a very fun track.

Exactly. Failure to track out and early apexing seemed to be the culprit. Glad it turned out ok, but don't expect that much run off room everywhere.

Sean, I think that you're going much faster than 115 on the back straight. It is 680 feet longer than a 1/4 mile (of which you are probably braking for 150 ft of it), and there are many people putting down your type of power that are trapping 120mph. You are also getting a 50 mph head start. 115 just seems too slow to me considering the way that you drive.

I can pull the logs from Evoscan off my computer and see what the ECU thought I was doing... but if it was higher than 115, then I'll be very surprised.

It's uphill and I was beginning to brake at the ~300' line.

"my type of power" is like maybe 350... and I think that's likely high honestly they way that Andrew was pulling on me in the straights.

Checked the EvoScan logs. My max (in 2 sessions) was 113.

andrew makes about 50 more hp, but what does your car weigh? we'll find out i'm guessing he is close to 450lbs lighter.

Exactly what prompted the scale and E85 discussion
