Sadly, for a Super Special, there will have to be solid barriers. We are going to keep it as open as possible and haven't made final decisions on what the barriers will be made of, but they will be enough to stop a vehicle from entering the other lane if it gets out of control.

Why can't you do 4 car races? Forget the barrier. Wheel to wheel dirt rally car racing. You can do rally cross that gives you 10 minutes of driving anywhere. 4 car races would give you lots of seat time for traveling a long distance for a event. Road Rally's are expensive, even without crashing into trees, but there is a fair amount of competitive driving over the weekend including reconnaissance runs. Real European rally cross racing is needed in the U.S. not more rally driving! I suppose sprint car racing on dirt ovals is the best we can do. Even if you do head to head racing to start the final races should be 4 car wheel to wheel for the win. Believe me once you try it you would be hooked!

We will be building a wheel-to-wheel RallyCross circuit. The poll if just to get an idea of what the community wants now. Wheel-to-wheel racing is much more expensive as there are more rigorous safety specs that the car has to meet, competition license costs and more chance of vehicle damage ... this leads to a much thinner customer base. While we also love wheel-to-wheel racing, this isn't exactly the best business model given the limited participants.
The current layout ideas include a ~.75 mile RallyCross circuit with configuration options, as well as the SSS.
