Which Canards, Dive Planes, Actually Work
.
I've seen a lot of front bumper canards (also called dive planes)
mounted on Evo's, and available for sale.
They range from mild to wild. Singles to Twins.
My opinion is if you're gonna put them on... they oughta work.
So, I'm not looking for bling, but some extra front downforce on the track.
Does anyone have any experience with good performing canards that will
fit on a stock Evo 8 bumper ??
Or... should I opt for the aftermarket bumper with the large lower lip?
Thanks

Read the thread that was posted a bit before this in this same forum. It is discussed that smaller canards are merely used to guide the low pressure air curving around the sides of your bumper cover. These don't increase downforce ALL that much. Most products you can buy through a vendor have this purpose. You're better off building some or finding someone who can build you some that really are intended for downforce.
