You can tell that the guy finally had enough, and if he isn't getting paid he has no motivation to keep his frustration contained. Even hiring free engineers doesn't buy engines, transmisions, wheels tires etc. It sounds like they blew the money that Chad Hurley invested getting the shop setup and paying the initial salaries, but never got any other real investors and now the money is gone. Fixing things at this point won't be easy.

Oh well, I like the looks of the Virgin cars, I can chear for them as the newcomers.

I'm not an engineer, but I'd give 40+ hours a week for free outside of my normal job to support an American F1 team with a realistic goal of competing for points. My soon to be wife wouldn't appreciate it very much, but she'd get over it.

but if engineers are volunteering body parts i'm sure thats worth something

what do kidneys and lungs sell for on craigslist these days? have all the employees do manditory marrow and plasma "donations", with the money for it going to the team. when people say you work long hours and have no life when your on a F1 team, they were being serious

It's from the autosport forum, I found it today.

What that guy is saying rings so clear to those who have been through something like that. Peter W already said that they missed payroll - you can fill in the dots. I believe everything in that post. It sucks, but I think that is the case. There have been no updates on their site, no new videos - nothing. I might be a sucker, but this info looks pretty legit. On that forum another dude created an account basically just to tell the guy to shut-up, because other employees still believed in the project and were hoping to pull through. Stating that the others still wanted to be able to work and support their families, and he wasn't helping - and if he wasn't happy to just leave. It was clearly from another employee.

There has been a few other guys from that shop that have said a few things here and there, I will try to dig some of that stuff up again.

Honestly though it seems like all the engineers know what needs to be done but even watching the vids on usf1's site makes it seem like theyre all just hanging out but not because they want to. and really, threatning people with their job is no way to run a company happy employees are productive/loyal employees. but hey if frank williams & bernie can make it from used car & parts sales to a couple of the most influential people in f1 I guess usf1 could make it though the world is a much different place now.

On the plus side with the steel suspension they will not have to worry about dropping below the minimum weight.

Wow, nice find Billy...USF1 looks and sounds dismal! Stefan GP is waiting to pounce for either Campos or USF1 failure...looks like it will happen.
To the brighter side: Kobay...Kobay...U heard it here first. Sauber, this year, is the Brawn story of '09' season.

Later, Ken
Edit/Add: Kobay, in interview, said his fastest lap was NOT "super-light"

More Tire stuff: Wet Conditions

At Jerez yesterday it was raining and all teams were testing the intermediate tires. Kobay stated that, "At the end of ten laps it felt like I was driving on slicks in the rain". But then Bridgestone..." denied there had been any major changes to the tyres from last season, when no major problems were reported." and further stated: "The wet and intermediate tyres [for 2010] have no significant changes [compared with 2009] apart from the [narrower] width of the front intermediate tyre, which will now be the same as the new dry front tyre".
Earth to Bridgestone come in.....how could U possibly think there would be similar grip from the '09' tire with the same compound and tire design but considerably narrower ?!!! This is a company making racing tires??? Perhaps it was a poor Japanese to English translation.....but I digress....

Later, Ken
