^ I think you're onto something here. Heck, they'd only have to build one competitive car that way. Talk about being able to maximize your funds.

Keeping on the Renault path, between Jarno Trulli and Piquet Jr, it sounds like they wouldn't be the 1st team to provide an A spec car for their #1 driver and a B spec car for their #2 driver.

Well, they COULD have signed Heidfeld a few weeks ago, so that driver that sucks issue is their own f'in fault. And the no competitive cars, well same deal there I suppose.

Yeah, he reminds me a lot of Jenson. Nice and smooth driver, but he's going to need a quick car to win races....also just like Jenson.

i was never impressed with heidfeld. it always seemed like he only stepped up his average game when kubica started doing really well.

He has shown flashes of greatness, not super consistent though. But a very smooth driver much like Jenson like you said

Jens and quick-nick always neede to be in the "right mood" that day to be bothered with driving HARD for the race. Both of them give up positions in the early stages and lack the killer instinct to consistently pass non blue-flagged cars.

IMHO it has always been a question of desire and hunger for those two to really shine.

Fair disclosure: i've been a Button fan since the dark ages of BAR.

Nick Heidfield being out would also remove one rolling chicane for Alonso!

^ Ah the poor GT-one (the car, not the user on EvoM)...... Never won much of anything, but was blazingly fast and scarry prior to its frequent, impending critical failure/wreck.
