But F1 doesn't run on those tracks anymore, instead we have had Singapore and Barcelona. 2 of the biggest snooze-fests ever

McLarens seem pretty quick being as they both paced practices this morning... Top 8 covered by less than a second. Its friday though, can't read into it too much. Quali should be good as always.

Nice to hear that F1 is coming to the U.S.

Hopefully we will have a team comprised of some american drivers by then?

And I am curious as to what the circuit will look like

Kobay...Kobay...Kobay! No tires left in Q3 and with Schumi off had no chance for fast lap.
If the car stays together and a good start (hopefully Alonso is sufficiently back to not be a factor), a finish may be in the cards...maybe some points...I am dreaming....wake me up.

Later, Ken

PS: Pirelli is not necessarily in...Michelin is flying in the brass for a final ditch offer...how low can U go

Well, I was dreaming...however, both Saubers FINISHED... now they need to get ahead of Renault to get into the points... ring some more out of the C 29...can it happen?

Later, Ken

Well, that was an interesting exchange between Webber and Vettel, and then again later on between Button and Hamilton. I'm somewhat OK with Button giving it a go with Hamilton like that, because Button is always going to choose the safe route over anything overly agressive, but Vettel and Webber should not be allowed to race heads up, especially if Webber's in the lead. Vettel is simply too aggressive to pass a guy like Webber, who has proven a knack for closing the door on anyone passing him at any time/stage of a pass attempt. That of course wasn't the case this time, but Horner needed to either tell Vettel to back off, or tell Webber to let him go by. I know that team orders are not allowed, but they have to have a code word, phrase, or something like "conserve fuel, we're concerned about making it to the end of the race". Worked for McLaren right!

Yes, I'm pretty sure conserve fuel was code for knock it the hell off. I can't blame Vettel for trying the move and I can't blame Webber for blocking. They were both kind of in the wrong maybe Vettel a bit more.

Since I dislike Hamilton I was hoping they would take each other out and then Schumacher would have gotten on the podium=)

Perhaps the F10 is not quick enough because it's a tank, seemed to survive the bludgeoning of the Petrov Renault a little too well.

Good race. I can not fault Vettel for what he did. He was at the corner first. It was an unfortunate incident but this is racing. You need risk takers like Vettel, Alonso, and Hamilton who are ruthless at passing. It's what makes a champion a champion. Vettel has what it takes, he just has to race a bit smarter. Remember Melbourne last year..... In addition, Redbull does not have the best track record for reliability. So for sure this DNF is going to hurt.

As far as the Hamilton and Button scrap goes, it was fun while it lasted. Button bringing the heat and Hamilton responding the way he did, after what we just saw between Seb and Mark... It was good fun to what I felt was a good race. We all know who the better McLaren driver is and if it comes down to a last race, last lap, champion deciding duel between the two, Lewis gets my bet.

Montreal will be interesting for sure. Great track and great racing!

Did the McLaren duel occur before the "save fuel" command? Anybody notice the telemetry? It appears Webber was told to change engine settings, but not Vettel, guess that's the new code word for team orders.

The save fuel command was given right after Hamilton had regained position ahead of Button, and Button slowed waaaaayyyy down immediately. Seemed like a lot more than Hamilton did.
