I do not know why Rally America does not petition the state of Michigan for a two day lift on there band on studded tires. This would make for a safer race from the fact they would have more consistent grip. It would also make the cars much faster which would be a nice thing.

Subaru Rally Team USA’s Travis Pastrana and Christian Edstrom took the overall title to Sno*Drift 2010 in their Open class 2010 Subaru WRX STi.

Second place went to Rockstar’s Antoine L'Estage Nathalie Richard in their Open class 2009 Mitsubishi Evo X.

Third place went to William Bacon and Peter Watt in their Open class in their 2006 Mitsubishi Evo IX.

The Super Production title went to Travis and Terry Hanson in their 2007 Subaru WRX STi; they finished fifth overall.

The Two-Wheel Drive title was awarded to Christopher Duplessis / Catherine Woods in their 1990 Volkswagen GTi. Duplessis came in 11th place overall--an amazing feat considering the ice covered roads and that the next Two-Wheel Drive competitor was 11 cars and over 35 minutes behind.

This is such a big factor with rallying. I'm surprised Max Mosley didn't try to change the FIA rules for WRC when he was screwing up F1 in an attempt to make things more equal for all competitors.

Rally updates

Hey guys. For what ever its worth I am an active member on this site and try to support the vendors and... I am the Bill Bacon thats 2nd in points right now in the Rally America series. Pretty cool because there are two evos in the top two points positions right now. At the 100 acre wood rally last week in Salem MO there were no Subarus on the podium. Please check out our facebook fan page. Bacon motor sport rally team. Sorry if this post is cheesy but we are trying to create a little buzz about the team right now. We are planning on heading to the west coast for the next two events and looking for sponsors. Thanks guys!!
