Composite Dashboards
Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows the rules for NASA TT and SCCA Solo regarding fiberglass dashes? I looked through the NASA GSR and didnt find a thing but since I'm doing some cage work figured I might as well go carbon or fiberglass on the dash also.

I was hoping to go all out with this build. I don't even know who runs in Redline Modified? I'm not familiar with the sanctioning body

Mk,
I'm doing the same, tore the dash out in prep for TTS/TTU but looked at the SCCA GSR and they require a "oem style dash pad" meaning you have to have the same contour and design of the original top pad part but the rest is free. So I've been keeping my eye out for a carbon or fiber dash too, did you find any? Pretty soon after I said to hell with the SCCA class i was looking at and dedicated the build to NASA's rules. But if I locate a lightweight dash i could always jump back and forth.
Lots of people run RTA when it hits their home town, however to be competitive you have to basically go on tour with it. Most of the top modified/unlimited cars have their own crew and vendor support at every event, so it's SUPER $$$ to get anywhere in that series now. But it brings out the best in everyone so it's still fun.
I'd personally build for NASA, cause they got the best of everything, so your not stuck with just TT, or just road racing, you could do both in the same weekend.
