Wow sweet writeup there! I'm still an Evo guy through and through but I've gotta respect the credentials of what that machine looks to be capable of and all the hard work that had to go into creating it.

nice!

I think we need that turbo for our new T/A Evo (which already has your kit on it with a 35r)

Geoff, it's interesting you use A6s for Time Attack. How do they hold up? They don't overheat and get greasy, then lose traction and get hard quickly from getting that hot?

Badass. It looks real fast and sounds pissed off, even at just 13psi.

Geoff,

I saw preliminary reports about the fire but can't find the official updates from You. Care to elaborate on the official cause? Also how was the car (turbo) performing up to that point? Any [new] dyno charts?

Regards,

H. Kurt Betton

some video of our final lap of the day (fast lap) and the cooldown lap:

You can hear the exhaust break around 1min 25secs, and thats when things start to get scary..

we used a 22" long stainless DP, followed by the long aluminum exhuast. We used header wrap at the front of the exh, to protect the p/s hoses from heat, and this likely shortened the exhaust's life.. This aluminum exh has seen a lot of abuse, many hours of dynoing, street driving and practice sessions. The heavy loads during the time attack event were just too much and it gave up

fortunately it was an easy cleanup, the car is already back to blingin! needs a little work this weekend, but will be 100% by monday.

here she is during some street driving

Whoa gnarly. Glad things were as minor as they were. Nice song selection BTW.
