Gingerman 7/17- 7/18
I participated in the West Michigan Honda Meet over the weekend.. It was a two day event at Gingerman. I had a blast with lots of track time. This event had an awesome crowd. I also got to drive the newly added on turn at Gingerman Raceway. This track is much faster now. I was hitting 130-135 on the straights. My best time of the day was 1:43.8 I was wondering what is considered fast with the new add on?
I'm definitely considering going next year and it would be awesome to see a bigger Evo crowd there too.

Neat. Any vid of the new section at speed? I'll be there next month with NASA MW/GL!
I ran there last year on the old config so my times probably aren't relevant. I ran a 1:32.0 with 310whp. I think I was hitting about 110 on the back straight, and 105 by start/finish.

yeah, we drove it with viper days in early june.... and they pondered letting us run it first, and said no... wasn't any grass, and with new guys in vipers... haha.
That turn comes up on you QUICK... I was loaded with 4 people doing fast parade laps (damn sunday down time) and it was all my stock wrx wanted to handle....
I love the exit though...

I don't like that its faster. I felt is was almost perfect before the change.
Higher speeds mean I have to reach for and bang 5th gear otherwise I only get to use it for a second or two. Even then it feels like I'm lugging the car.
Then again maybe its the EVO9 gearing that I dislike and not the faster track!

Nice to see you there, you were definitely running quick! (Hi from MWIR also).
I keep saying I miss my 2g DSM FWD gearing that let me do 118 in 3rd 4th gear is so short, and 5th gear is so tall!

Unfortunately SCCA didn't approve that turn, so it is being ground up as we speak and going more on-camber. Say hello to even higher speeds through the back straight!
