Mid-Ohio NASA TT/HPDE Video

A short video of a couple of my laps from last weekend's NASA event (8/13/2010). I was running in HPDE3, which for Friday was combined on track with HPDE4 and all the TT classes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRhv2ZBqnUg

I included a few notes on what I thought about the track and where I think I can improve my lap times. Please feel free to discuss or comment. Thanks,

looks good!

Nice lines! You are correct about getting the flow of the track right. If you mess it up then the whole lap is down the tubes.

What kind of numbers does the E85 produce on the stock turbo?

Thanks!

Not sure about completely stock turbo, but on my car with an original FP Green it made 430 on a MD, and somewhere close to 500 on a dynojet. . . Guessing a 9 turbo would be 30-40whp less . . .

Definitely a course I want to visit again, lots of blind corners when at speed that you have to enter on the correct side of the track if you are on the edge. Seems like all the cars besides you and that Porsche were on a Sunday drive, or maybe it was their warmup lap.

I find it good to follow someone decently fast like that when first tackling a track, assuming they have good lines and then adjust for your own car and eventually pass them back once you figure it all out.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I am trying to decide on a bigger turbo or just convert to E85.

Thanks for sharing the video. Good looking lines around the track. Hopefully next year we will see you in Time Trials there. You are already running competitive lap times.

With the hp levels above better plan on running TTU unless you turn down the boost quite a bit.
