"A unique line through turn 1, as performed by an EVO driver"
I knew someone would have it on video.

Before the event, I changed my front calipers (new seals) and bled them to death. I also bled them again after bedding- in the new pads. The first session went well without any problems; it was a relatively slow session with a lot of traffic.
After a few laps into the second session, a big air bubble decided to come out at the front straight as I was diving into the braking zone. As I reached for the brakes, the pedal instantly went to the floor. I had to take “A unique line through turn 1” while pumping the pedal.
Another video from the same event after bleeding the bubble out.

Glad you and the car made it out in one piece. Nice selection of escape and execution!
Bonus points
1) Knowing where to slow, where to exit (even if you just expected to cut the corner
)
2) Not cutting hard when you came back on the track - that re-directed energy can flip your car
3) Walking away, better yet driving away!

I did the same thing 2 weeks ago on a cold morning when I was forced to rimshot the turn due to another car on the inside, completing only lap 1 and the tires weren't warm... I hit the 2nd level rumble strips and headed toward the corner worker at about 90 once the tires were obviously not catching.

Yea Zanardi got a lot of flak for that move! See if you can find the video of Richard Petty driving at Riverside in either 1970 or 71 driving the Ford Torino. I never saw a crazier or better full out driver in my life! Cutting off apexes and running out over the dirt on the exits. He put on a incredible legendary display road racing a huge stock car completely over the top and pulling it off. I always tip my hat to him when I drive through Pocono International Raceway's entrance!
