I've been thinking about building a 1st gen rx7 to start rallying with for a while now, they just look like loads of fun. If I had the money I'd be buying that one on special stage ASAP.

From some of the reading I've done, the Mazda guys seem to really prefer the 2nd gen to rally as the frame is much better than the 1st gen. I have no firsthand knowledge, just stuff I've read on www.rallyanarchy.com. There's lots of cool build threads and a great knowledge base....though the lanugage on there gets 'interesting' from time to time.

mk2 is not exactly a budget car if you do it right but fun for sure if you can hadle it. I think it is just too much work after couple of hours. I drove a simular but little less power full version, and it is a work.
The MK2 for the Irish is like a Lada for hungarians LOL

i think its still on sale. sure its a good starter car. I actually race with him at okemo. The car made it throu without any fixing im aware. So how bad can be? But a same time its 2K... so im sure there is a reason for it.
Look at it this way. Just a cagening would cost you more in any car....

That looks fun, its had 12000 views, doubt its still around too. I just have bad luck with cars. I find something, gets sold 5min before I call. Last car I was going to buy, guy told me he would be off work at 5:00, called him at 5:02, he said sorry Im selling it right now.
