Hey im new in the sport, just wondering if anyone on here is from ny.
i live in western ny and just wondering who runs these event so i can look up events.
also do you need a cat or high flow cat to run these events

Misery Bay region of the SCCA hold some autocross in Erie, PA.

You can definitely run events stock without any mods. My local sports car club runs 3-4 events per year at St. Lawrence Motorsports Park in Morristown, NY. http://sccv.org/cms/ It is a 3/4 mile go-cart track big enough to run cars on. Very laid back and I found it to be a good place to start to learn and a lot of fun. It is run in a time trial format like autox with no more than 2 cars on track at a time. There are several other clubs that run events there as well if you're interested.
