....got a couple events under our belt now, car is working pretty well in the dry but not so much in the wet. setup work commencing!
This is our co-driver, winning the "PRO/PAX" ladies class in Packwood, WA last Sunday. My wife won the ladies challenge at our Regional Pro on Saturday as well (all without launching the car), w00t!

Hey Doug and Tasha
Nice job to both of you last weekend, (also Godzilla Killa Gretchen) it looks like the gap closed considerably. Quick question how are you liking the P1 seats, are you daily driving on them or swapping before events.
We are looking at seats now, because we weighed one the other day and you were right, they are about ~38 pounds. Judging by Packwood's results .014 seconds between first and
second, 25 pounds would make a difference. So you have had them for a few events wondering how your liking them?
Thanks
Chris & Michelle

Chris/Michelle, nothing fancy about those seats really... a friend had them in his car at nationals, Gretchen, Tasha and I were test fitting various options and they were the best compromise. That and they're fairly inexpensive, cheap actually, I don't expect the fabric to last very long, and you can't replace it (like Sparco/Recaro).
We're not daily driving the car.
I do recommend the seat rails though, also BuddyClub, they allow the seats to go much lower than the Sparco rails.

...car is coming along well. We picked up a set of RPF1's in +18ET, and some new Z1s, did some testing/practicing on Saturday and racing on Sunday. wife and I had some good results, I PAX'd first overall and she was 8th overall and 1st in class... weather helped us for sure but we definately had some top dogs in our run group (Clark, Dietz, Lillejord, etc), stoked.
Need to get the car back up on jack stands tonight and put some new rotors in place. MAPerformance helped us source some OE~ RB rotors (thanks!). Tough buying rotors with that new rule proposal out there but I warped our stockers, had to machine them, and then promptly warped them again... :/ they're done.
This weekend I was hoping to try out a set of Kooks but it looks like the weather is going to suck, as usual, so we'll stick with the Z1s... maybe it'll warm up/dry out one of these days. The Montana Divisional is coming up, they have nice weather usually (crosses fingers).
here's me/dork with my winning time-slip in hand

Nice job to both of you on Sunday, what a fun event, I'm not used to having so many sweepers though. Speaking of brakes I switched over the fronts and backs to Hawk HP Streets, mistake, we couldn't even get the abs to engage at Packwood. Back to the pluses, Nice driving guys we will see you again this Sunday!

What size RPF1s did you end up going with? I'm about to pick up a set for my STU (245 width) car. From what I've read, the 8.5" width fits without spacers, but the 9.0" and 9.5" require spacers to clear the Brembos up front. I'm not sure the marginal added stability is worth the extra cost of spacers and the wider wheels.

we're running the 17x9.5 +38et on the rear
and 17x9.5 +18et, for the fronts
we also have ARP studs up front and a set of 20mm spacers for running the +38et wheels when/if we want to

tried out some Hankook RS3s last weekend... not so good on the first day, full tread, squirmy and zero grip... second day they seemed to come in ok though, I guess they needed some scrubbing in
next up is some new hubs/bearings... we developed a chirping/cricket noise coming from the front left, no play in the wheel yet but we have to travel 1000+ miles in a week for the Montana divisional... not sure I want to risk it. Anyone else have any issues with their bearings? we went through several sets on our Subaru, I suspect we're being a bit paranoid but at least it looks like an easy (knocks on wood) job replacing them(?)

Hey Doug,
You don't do bearings - you do assembled hubs. Which is a blessing.
And yes - changing the hubs is straightforward if you have the right tools.
1) remove axle castle nut cotter pin
2) remove axle castle nut
3) remove 4 bolts at the back of the hub
4) slide hammer out the assembly -- if you don't have too much rust it should come off pretty easily
Reassembly is reverse of disassembly.
